Faizah Aditya Aziz
In her Ted talk, Emilie Wapnick talked about “multipotentialites” – people whose interests are wide and varied. In this world of increasing specialization, there still exists people like her, who dribble in various fields, learn the ins and outs, overcome the challenges until their curiosity is quenched and then move on to another area. Some people might call this as indecisive, quitting and wasteful, yet on the contrary such people manage to enrich their lives with knowledge from a variety of areas, incorporating them into ideas that are mostly, “outside the box.”
Faizah Aziz Aditya labels herself as such, and this is why a student currently pursuing her B.A. in Economics with a minor in Psychology and Gender Studies, from Asian University for Women in Bangladesh is right now, standing on the soil of America, learning about Journalism and New Media. A proud leftie and self-taught-and-proclaimed artist, writer and singer (although she is super shy on the singing part), her interests include anything in the social sciences, humanities and arts, with a special focus on literature, biology, psychology, history, languages, arts and culture. As long as you keep maths and physics away from her! A foodie who struggles with keeping fit and fails miserably, she’s the shortest girl in the group with a mind loud and enthusiastic, willing to learn and explore - guaranteed! Oh and if you’re wondering, she’s 4’10”.
