Sumyat Thu is a doctoral student at the University of Washington studying English composition and rhetoric. As a biracial and bilingual Burmese national living in the U.S., she’s interested in social issues from the integration of local and global perspectives. She loves writing, teaching and enjoys her time in the lush green Pacific Northwest.
