Ebtihal Shedid was born in Cairo. Studied German literature at the Cairo University and has an M.A. in translation, culture and language from Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany. Currently living in Bellevue and working as freelance translator and interpreter for theatre and literature.
