Big win for Pramila, but diversity in WA politics at a standstill

Metro funding, Pre-K education and several candidates with international backgrounds came out ahead at the polls yesterday. But overall, immigrants and people of color are still underrepresented in state politics.

Candidates address startling dearth of diversity in State Legislature

Only 13 out of the total 147 state legislators in the state House and Senate are people of color. All 13 are democrats.
